Miksi suunnittelin sen

It all started on a cold, windy walk with Alba. She was wearing a harness that looked fine but just didn’t fit her body right. It twisted, bunched up under her legs, and made her visibly uncomfortable – and to be honest, I was tired of choosing between something that worked and something that looked good.

That night, I sketched out the first lines of what would later become the Elma harness – a piece that would combine comfort, safety and style in a way I couldn’t find anywhere else.

This one took time – and a lot of trial and error. One version was too bulky. Another one slipped when wet. One even looked perfect but tightened in the wrong place when Alba pulled.

We tested materials, adjusted cuts, changed the strap angles – and worked closely with our production team to make it truly adaptable across sizes. The breakthrough came when we finally nailed the balance between flexibility and structure. That’s when it started to feel like a Staey piece.
